Birthday Girl!

Last week we celebrated Caitlin's 2nd birthday.  As her birthday fell on the Monday, we had a little party for her on the Saturday, and my Mum came down on the train for the day.

We took her for a walk up to see their new school, and the Junior school that hopefully Charlotte will start at this September, and to the pre-school that we hope Caitlin will start at in January next year.

Then it was back to Nanny and Grandad's house to start making sandwiches for the party at lunchtime.

It will be no surprise that Caitlin had a Peppa Pig cake, and that most of her presents followed the Peppa Pig theme - including a fancy dress costume.  SO CUTE!!!!

There were lots of tears from poor Charlotte, when it was time for my Mum to go back home, so the next day I took her out for a girly afternoon.  We went and had coffee and cakes at Costa (although Charl did have a smoothie instead), and then to the park.  Then the following day, she had her hair cut ready for school photos which are being taken today.  I think she felt very grown up!

It won't be long before we see my Mum again.  The kids and I are heading back to our house for the half-term holidays.  I was hoping to have a trip there by myself so that I can get a few jobs done without the kids, but my in-laws are going away and so I'll have the 3 kids and 3 dogs (Dylan and in-law's 2), with me - so I don't think I'll be too productive.  Still it will be nice to catch up with friends and to see my Mum.

xx
