Yes, this is a blog post WITH scrapping layouts included!!!
No, you haven't stumbled across the wrong blog by mistake! Oh and no I'm not ill!
I took advantage of some much needed 'me time'. With no scrapping space to turn into chaos, I have to bring everything I need downstairs in the evening to sit at the kitchen table, and then clear it all away afterwards. A bit of a faff, but for now it will have to do.
I've had these photos printed out to scrap for some time, which explains the little baby in the first layout. I can't quite believe that this little lady will be 2 on Monday!!!! The borders at the top and bottom of the page was made by cutting strips of BG Gypsy paper (which I've had for ages and use for little bits and pieces). I then drew on stitching, but it doesn't show up on the photo. I saw this idea ages ago in 'Creating Keepsakes' magazine and always wanted to try it.
This picture of Cameron was taken in July 2009, when he took part in the 'Big Toddle', to raise money for Barnardos. Afterwards all the children had a Teddy Bear's Picnic on the grass outside, so I guess the weather must have behaved that day! It isn't the best photo of the layout - in fact none of them are. It is such a grey miserable day that the only way that I could get a bright picture was to use the flash, which then bounced of the photos in the layouts - so no flash and it all looks a little dull. They aren't really - I promise!
I'm not sure what the papers are in this layout - they are scraps of papers that I've got left over from previous layouts and just put back in the paper box.
This layout, is based on sketch 85 from the 'Twisted Sketches' blog. The twist for this sketch is 'white'. This photo, I'm pretty sure, was taken in Autumn 2008, and after a hard day playing, Cameron fell fast asleep on the sofa, using Charlotte as a pillow.
The papers I used are from American Crafts. Old papers that I've had for a while, but hadn't yet cut into. I'm glad I did, I'm really pleased with how this layout turned out. Simple, but effective.
